Plan Your Perfect Day Out
Made for Tranquility & Adventure
There is so much to do at Whitlingham Country Park from walking to cycling, sporting activities and festivals or just relax with a cuppa, a nibble and enjoy the views.
WHITLINGHAM GREAT BROAD PATH RESTORATION WORK
We want to say a huge thank you to Norfolk County Council for our Norfolk Social Infrastructure Fund grant of £100,000. This grant will allow us to continue our work to restore the path around the Great Broad, improving the access for wheelchair users and giving everybody the chance to
enjoy Whitlingham Country Park.
We are incredibly grateful to The Norwich Freemen's Charity whose help kickstarted the whole project, also The Broads Landscape Partnership, Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund and GB Driveways. This is a true example of everybody working better together for Norfolk.
Please be patient while the work is on, expect closures, diversions with plant and machinery moving around the site. Everyone is working hard to get this done and its a lot easier with your help. Follow us on Facebookor check here for updates.
New Bird Hide is complete
The bird hide is officially open for all to visit. It has been a huge effort and created a complete transformation of the area. We're very proud of it.
Cafe seating area refurbed
The grass is cut and the new patio is ready for you to come and enjoy some delicious food and drinks at The Flint Barn Cafe. We're open daily from 9am to 5pm. If you fancy a fresh brew, we are delighted to be working with Equal Brewkery, a local supplier of quality beers and a not-for-profit organisation helping people with learning disabilities to build knowledge and skills.
Join us for Guided Walks
Enjoy a relaxed guided walk around the Park with our dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers. Walks are free and open to all on various dates throughout the summer. They start at 10.30am and last about two hours. Flint Barn Cafe is open 9am to 5pm for refreshments and food before and after the walk with indoor and outdoor seating for the variable British weather!
If you have some time and want to get involved with something special, why not volunteer with us? We have a fabulous team of dedicated volunteers who offer their skills to keep our beautiful park running for the good of the environment and, of course, for our visitors.
Visitor Survey 2023
We want to hear from you. The purpose of the survey is to gauge the views of our visitors, to find out why you use the park, what you like most about it, how we could improve it and what would make for a better experience for you.
