CYCLING AT WHITLINGHAM

Whitlingham Country Park is an excellent stop along Route 1 and a great place to learn to cycle, free from traffic. We want to expand the cycling opportunities in the Park, so here are a few things to consider so we all have a safe and enjoyable experience.

The path around the Great Broad is accessible to all and although we ask everyone to be considerate of each other, pedestrians will always have priority over cyclists.

Our paths are not suitable for high speed so please be mindful of this, give way, use your bell, and be polite.

Route 1 diverts off Whitlingham Lane through the busiest part of the Park where visitors come to feed the ducks and relax, if you are in a hurry please stick to the main road.

Mountain biking or cycling of any kind through Whitlingham & Trowse Woods is not permitted. The paths are not sufficiently wide enough or suitable for dual use, your cooperation will help prevent further accidents and conflict.

RUNNING AT WHITLINGHAM

Many of our visitors enjoy running, jogging and walking at Whitlingham Country Park. We do not have any organised runs such as Parkrun, but you can enjoy our woods and trails at your own pace, whenever suits you.

The Great Broad path is 2.3 miles (3.7km) so you can enjoy one lap or do several, whatever your level or personal goal.
