Teddy Bear Fun 2026 🧸
What a great day of fun we had yesterday under our giant stretch tent in the barn meadow at Whitlingham! Thanks to everyone who came by to make it such a wonderful event over the four hours. What is Teddy Bears' Picnic? Every year we host a Teddy Bears' Picnic event at Whitlingham Country Park. We have loads of fun activities, and most of them are totally FREE! Our brand new Visitor Welcome Centre is OPEN! Come and find us at the bottom of Flint Barn Car Park, including our takeaway café hatch. As well as information, we have an interesting mix of gifts and items for children, adults and dogs too. We have a new set of friendly welcome volunteers, ready to greet and assist you. From diggings to diversity
Our newly created scrapes at the far end of the Great Broad may still look fairly bare, but signs are already strong that this place is being colonised by wildlife. Our team have seen broad-bodied chasers at the site, which are often the first dragonflies to colonise a newly created water space. This is a great indication that the scrapes will soon be populated by many other species. Their name is descriptive, they certainly do have a broader body than many dragonfly species.
