🎃October fun in 2026
What a busy week! After a stormy weekend of truly crazy weather, our team have rallied, as ever, and had more fun than you can shake a stick at this half term week.
Spooky film fun
On Monday 26th we had our outdoor cinema evening with showings of Hocus Pocus and The Lost Boys enjoyed by hundreds of keen film fans. The Hocus Pocus crowd had a little drizzle to contend with early on, but they were still in good spirirts (👻 no pun intended) and had a great evening.
Halloween family fun
Yesterday, 28th October, gave us all the best autumn feels with a lovely buzz of Halloween excitement going at our event by the Visitor Centre. The sunshine was glorious and we had a rain-free day. Hooray!
We hold this FREE family event every year, but this was a new location for it this year, and we thought the atmosphere was great. There were so many smiling faces, as well as some epic costume efforts from children and adults alike. Thanks to all who joined in.
We had family-friendly craft activities galore, a spooky stamp trail, pumpkin hunt, storytelling, and delicious hotdogs too. Here are some photo highlights:
The fabric ghosts were a popular craft from the Re-Do Norfolk stall, with loads of spooky designs, including a ghost cat! Thanks to the other organisations who joined us for the fun yesterday:
Fun with eight legs
Our FREE spider trail continues this week, up to and including Sunday 1st November. This is a small trail to find six numbered spider posters on the south side of the Great Broad path.
No need to complete a whole lap if you have small children joining in. Pick up your simple trail sheet from the Visitor Centre at the bottom of Flint Barn Car Park and return there triumphant to collect your prize!

...And we're not done just yet!
Coming up next week on Thursday 5th November is our first ever traditional bonfire night event. Join us at the park for a bonfire, lantern making, hotdogs and other warming refreshments.
Our Guy is hanging out at Flint Barn Cafe until then, but he'll soon be on our fire, as is traditional at this time of year. This event is FREE to attend. Come along!

Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed the park with us this week. We loved having you here with us.
🔥 See you at the bonfire night! 🔥
