The Flint Barn Cafe's mezzanine area had a new floor in recent years, but now it's had a whole transformation with new seating options aplenty.

So what's changed?

The old sofas and tables have been removed and there is now far more seating, including a higher bar area with high stool seats. We have also got a brand new comfy sofa booth . Hooray!

Here are some pictures of the upgrade in progress... most of which happened during our deep clean day when the café was closed to visitors.

Why the change of layout?

You may have noticed that our sofas and chairs were starting to look damaged and old, so it was time for a refresh. The old furniture was bulky and took up a lot of space without providing very many seats, so the new design provides lots more space for customers to sit, enjoying new views over the café and outside, as well as retaining the comfy seating we know our customers love.

The sofa has just been installed and here is the new look, hot off the press! With a couple of tweaks and finishing touches, it'll be back open for you to enjoy very soon.

The mezzanine will still be a dog-free zone, but well-behaved dogs are very welcome downstairs and on the patio. The patio area has just had a spring clean too. Thanks to ranger John for pressure washing it during our deep clean day.

Come and take a look for yourself soon!
