A lovely perk of my role at Whitlingham Country Park is I am often lucky enough to get a preview taste of the latest menu items and drinks that are set to launch. What a treat!

So what's new?

New year, new menu changes to keep things fresh and exciting for our Flint Barn Café customers:

Beetroot roll with olive tapenade, roasted tomatoes and rocket

The colour of this new roll is unbelievable. Have you ever seen a bright pink roll before? Powered by beetroot, this roll demands to be noticed, and it tastes incredible! Shout out to our bread supplier Krusty Loaf for their innovative bread choices, and our amazing kitchen team for their inspirational filling ideas. The combination of flavours within the soft roll are a staff favourite already. Try it for yourself soon!

"New Yorker" - inspiration from across the pond

This ciabatta roll features a delightful combination of pastrami, cheese, gherkins, French mustard and salad leaves. It's proving the be a big hit with customers already.

New hot panini incoming

Gooey melted cheese with rustic tomato and basil sauce... yum! All the warming deliciousness of melted cheese but with the margarita pizza vibes of tomato and basil too. It's a winner. You can order it individually or with a side salad and crisps. Ask for it to take away if you want a tasty hand warmer to take on your wintery walk. This recipe is available in gluten free and Vegan versions on request at the counter.

Sweet treats for the new year

There is always a great selection of cakes and bakes at the Flint Barn, but there are always new items for you to try. This February we've got a new jam doughnut muffin! Two of the very best sweet things combined - and it's Vegan - what's not to love? This recipe mostly pops up at weekends, so come and check it out soon.

Winter warmer drinks - what's new for 2026?

White Chocolate Syrup can be added to steamed milk for white hot chocolate as well as a white mocha. Just ask our friendly staff at the counter
