Dogs are very welcome at Whitlingham Country Park and they love exploring as much as their owners do!

How to enjoy the park with you dog(s)
Top tips:
We have many great options for dog walks around the 280 acre park - Broads, woodlands and meadows - there's plenty of choice to explore all year round. Walks around the Great and Little Broads are mud free!
There are doggy treats available to purchase in the Flint Barn Cafe , including Pupsicle ice-cream and Bonio dog biscuits. Well behaved dogs are very welcome in the cafe, on leads, just not on the mezzanine level please
Conservation area - dogs must be on leads here - but why? There are ground nesting birds in this area. You may not be able to see any visible wildlife as you walk, but it is certainly present, and does not want to be disturbed. Thank you for your consideration. Dogs can be off lead anywhere else in the park other than the cafe
Dogs in the water - At times, the water will not be safe for dogs or people to enter. We have had occasions where blue-green algae blooms are present and this is toxic to both animals and humans. Water quality is tested regularly and safety signs will be displayed if the levels are unsafe
Picking up waste - why is this important? Dog waste is unpleasant for other visitors to find. Please always clear up after your dog and place the waste in the dog waste bins provided. Even if your dog goes to the toilet off the path, please consider the staff and volunteers who often work on the verges. It is also not good for the environment for dog waste to be left, as dog food normally contains meat which has a negative affect on the ecosystem as the waste decomposes
There is often livestock on Trowse Water Meadow, which is part of the park. Please follow the signs about dog safety around cattle to ensure everyone stays safe and happy. Thank you
