A park for everyone!

We believe that everyone should be able to access nature in a meaningful way, and we work hard to ensure that can happen for our visitors at Whitlingham Country Park.
Disabled Access Day is on 16th March 2026 so we thought we'd highlight the many ways we welcome everyone to the park.
Tramper Mobility Scooter and trails
Available to hire every day, other than Sundays (currently), choose a morning or afternoon session and explore for up to 3 hours for just £5!
You'll get a full induction given when it's your first go, so you don't need to have used a Tramper before. The induction takes no more than ten minutes and then you're off on your way., once you're happy with the controls and routes. It's really simple to control. Explore around the Great Broad or even into the woodlands and meadows. There's so much to see in our 280 acres!

Toilet Facilities
We have two accessible unisex toilets downstairs in Flint Barn Café and another standard wheelchair accessible toilet in the Flint Barn Car Park toilet block. We have both left-hand and right-hand transfer for wheelchair users.
We also have an incredible grant-funded Changing Places facility on site which is available for those visitors who need a higher level of specialist equipment such as a ceiling hoist. Anyone who needs access can apply for their own keycard for our facility. This extra entry system ensures our facility is in pristine condition for those who really need it.
Hearing Loop
Ordering at the cafe? You can use our hearing loop at the counter so you can hear staff more clearly there. Just switch your hearing aid(s) to T mode to use them.

BSL Family Explorer Trail
Tactile, fun and educational, our newest trail is great for everyone to explore! Pick up a family explorer trail pack at Flint Barn Café and head off on your adventure.
Did you know you can park in one of our car parks and then move to another within the time on your ticket? This can really help if you have little ones joining in the trail as it is located in the further end of the park. You'll also find our log jumble playground there too. Enjoy!
Braille Map
The park is at your fingertips! This is a great way for visually impaired visitors to get park information through touch. With tactile patterns and shapes, as well as Braille text, this colourful map is a great support. For sighted visitors, there are also maps available for free in the Flint Barn cafe, as well as a giant wall map to look at to the right of the cafe counter.

Blue Badge Parking
With three blue badge spaces just outside the barn and two more next to our Changing Places facility, we have space to welcome you to the park if you need more space to unload or be nearer the café or toilets.
